The night went and passed, and the Raqi returned to the same person to perform Ruqya on him to complete his work. He asked the Jinn if he was able to harm him. The Jinn said no, because he was surrounded by angels during the night.
The Raqi then replied that he had recited Ayat Al-Kursi before going to sleep.
Ruqya is an Islamic practice by which bad Jinn or devils are removed from a person. In English, it would be called exorcism, but it is very different from Christian exorcism, because only the Qur'an's verses are enough to remove them.
So his story got us thinking how we could remind and encourage our brothers and sisters to take refuge with Allah by reciting Ayat Al-Kursi. So here goes.
1. Nothing prevents you from entering Jannah except death
Condition: After every prayer
Abu Umamah radiyaAllahu anhu reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said,
“Whoever recites the verse of the Throne after every prescribed prayer, there will be nothing standing between him and his entering Paradise except death.”

2. It is the Greatest Verse of the Quran
The Prophet(salAllahu alayhi wa Sallam) struck Abu Mundhir's chest and said "Rejoice!"
Ubayy ibn Ka’b reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “O Abu Mundhir, do you know the greatest verse in the book of Allah?” I said, “Allah and His Messenger know best.”
The Prophet said, “O Abu Mundhir, do you know the greatest verse in the book of Allah?” I recited the verse, “Allah, there is no God but Him, the Living, the Sustainer.” (2:255)
The Prophet struck me on the chest and he said, “By Allah, Abu Mundhir, rejoice in this knowledge!”

3. Understand that Allah NEVER gets tired of protecting you
Ibn Abbas radiyaAllahu anhu narrates(not a hadith):
Once Bani Israel questioned Musa (a.s) whether his Lord ever sleeps? Musa (a.s) replied: FEAR HIM! What kind of question is that? Allah called Musa (a.s) and said: Hold 2 bottles in your hands and keep on standing whole night. He followed Allah’s order and did exactly that, but when half of the night went passed he started to slumber and bowed down on his knees, but then he quickly awoke, however in the last part of night he had a deep slumber and both bottles fell from his hands and “GOT BROKEN” Then Allah azza Wajjal said: O Musa! If I sleep then the heavens and the worlds would break into pieces just like these bottles. So Allah revealed this ayah to his Prophet (Muhammad - Peace be upon him)

4. Allah sends you a guard when sleeping and the devil can not approach you
Condition: you recite it before sleeping every night.
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, ordered me to guard the alms of Ramadan. Then someone came and was stealing from the food. I caught him and said, “I will take you to the Messenger of Allah!”
He said to me, “Please do not take me to the Messenger of Allah! I will tell you a few words through which Allah will benefit you! When you go to your bed, then recite the verse of the Throne (2:255) for there will be a guard from Allah to protect you throughout the night and Satan will not come near to you until dawn.”
When the Prophet heard this, he said, “He told you the truth although he is a liar, for he was Satan.”
